Welcome to the home of a legend!

Thumpstar is one of the biggest names in the pit bike industry and is firmly cemented in the history-books of the minibike scene. Back in the early 2000’s if you owned a pit bike it was more than likely a Thumpstar or an XSPORT. Both brands were hugely successful, ours being created by Barry Hall of a company called Sport and Leisure Direct (SLD).

By 2010 Stomp was dominating the pit bike scene in the UK and both the once massive Xsport and Thumpstar brands slipped behind into obscurity. SLD went on to concentrate on their Megelli Motorcycle road bike brand. The Megelli bikes (dripping in Italian style and finesse) were mostly successful in the far east.

In 2018, Stomp bought the rights to the Thumpstar brand when Sport and Leisure Direct went into administration. Stomp quickly resurrected the brand to run it alongside their existing pit bike range, bringing the deep routed nostalgia of the legendary Thump back to life (this time with a fresh modern appeal and improved quality manufacturing).

One of the key bikes our new owners wanted to re-birth, was the legendary Thumpstar RoadRipper. A pit bike produced to be registered for road use but to retain all the racing attributes that make it a winner on the black stuff and on the dirt.

Thanks to our parent company, our glorious on point, aggressive sounding Thumpstar pit bikes could once again be enjoyed by the masses.

Appealing to those not content to run with the pack, Thumpstar riders are generally more discerning, loyal and appreciative of the finer details in life. Generally, the Thumpstar family are also blessed with more than just a little fistful of crazy!
